Staff Accountant

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for the maintenance and control of general ledger accounts and recording and analyzing the business transactions of the organization.  This person will also assist in the monthly close processes.

The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable; invoice entry and weekly check run process
  • Prepare general ledger entries and provide proper supporting documentation for annual audit
  • Analyze and reconcile financial accounts
  • Accurately record and track Fixed Asset activity
  • Proper accrual of monthly expenses
  • Research and interpret financial data in order to confidently provide information to management
  • Develop and implement improvements to current accounting procedures
  • Ability to complete adhoc requests as necessary

Experience Required: 

  • Accounts Payable & Account Receivable Experience
  • General Ledger Experience
  • 2-5 years experience in similar position
