How Do the Charts Work?

The charts display only two sets of data: top selling full albums by total earnings for the period and top selling individual songs by earnings for the period; these are independent of genre, store, sub-store, promotion or affiliation. The ranking is in order, terminates at 25 for each chart, and shows only relative positions based on absolute earnings across all reporting stores.
