Alan AtKisson
Alan AtKisson is known principally for his work in the field of sustainable development, and his books "Believing Cassandra" and "The Sustainability Transformation" (both released in new editions in Nov 2010). You can find out more at www.AtKisson.com.
But as people who read his books and listen to his speeches know, Alan is also a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, with a very diverse repertoire of all-original material. He has been performing professionally since since 1979, and has produced six albums, three of which are available here. (A fourth is coming ... and a fifth, compiling and remastering the best of his earliest work, is on the way.)
These albums range from comedy on environmental topics ("Whole Lotta Shoppin'), to straight-up singer-songwriter with some sparkling acoustic guitar ("Testing the Rope"), to musical adaptations of the poetry of Rainier Maria Rilke and his intense dialogues with the divine.
