All Around Dude -

"You're just an all around dude then!" exclaimed the cowboy with the mobile BBQ trailer. I had just finished explaining to him, in a cloud of mesquite smoke, how it had come to be that I had wound up in rural California playing a concert of Brazilian music that night. My journey had taken me from Idaho to California, Texas to the Caribbean, Europe to India, South America back to California again over the course of ten years, all the while learning about the culture, language, and especially music of the places I had been. 

The music on this album is an organic amalgamation of the diverse influences that have become rooted in me along the way performed by some of the brightest talents of the Bay Area's rich music scene. - Q
