Liner Notes: Raven Hail (1921-2005) was an accomplished Author and Playwright. She is listed in the Ohoyo One Thousand (1982), Native American Women (1993), and the Reference Encyclopedia of the American Indian (7th Edition, 1995) and The Encyclopedia of North American Indians (1997). Her articles and poems on Cherokee Indian Culture have appeared in periodicals throughout the United States.
Ravensong was recorded in the summmer of 1995 by Inkwell Press and originally released as an audio cassette in 1996.
Raven Hail's additional works include The Pleiades Stones; Windsong: Texas Cherokee Princess; The Raven Speaks; Ravensong, Cherokee Indian Poetry; Native American Foods (Food the Indians Gave Us- a children's coloring book); The Raven and the Redbird (a play in three acts); and The Cherokee Sacred Calendar, A Handbook of the Ancient Native American Tradition.
Ravensong is also available as a book of poetry.
