Liner Notes: AUDIOFUEL AudioFuel is kicking music, custom composed for people to run to. What’s the music like? The unique thing about it is the beat - it exactly matches and, therefore, can drive the stride & pace of the runner. Most regular music has a beat that is too slow. Another unique aspect to the AudioFuel product is the quality of the music. There are no cover versions or cheesy remixes. The music is all custom composed by some of the UK’s top artists and producers. Howie Saunders, AudioFuel’s Music Director, has performed at some of the world's largest venues in the band Lunatic Calm and has more recently created soundtracks for films such as Charlie's Angels, The Matrix and Spiderman. AudioFuel know all about vibes and lyrics too. Every track and every compilation is designed to help create the right emotional state at the right moment so that the runner can maximize their performance; controlled energizing at the start, pushing up into a steady zone through the middle, picking up the energy towards the end, then chilling out after the finish. Does it work? It is widely accepted that music can boost sporting performance and aid motivation and many people already listen to music when they run. Up to 20% according Professor Costas Karageorghis at Brunel University. AudioFuel customers report great success in using AudioFuel, like Richard: "Today, fueled with AudioFuels 'Full Tilt’ I have just blitzed my local 10k training run, knocking over 2 mins off of my previous Personal Best." What are the products? Runners can currently choose from 20, 30 and 40 minute running compilations at three ‘intensity levels’. Or they can buy individual tracks and create their own playlist. AudioFuel will soon be launching a new product called 'Race Tracks'. These are continuous pieces of music designed to help runners complete a race (e.g. 5K) in a specific time of their choice. The tempo of these tracks will follow a professionally designed cadence profile designed to maximize the runner’s performance. AudioFuel is currently sold as a digital download from their own website. They will soon be retailing their product from the iTunes store and Amazon. Who provides the health & fitness expertise? All the compilations and products, which include voice over coaching, are created with the help of British athlete Emma Fisher. And AudioFuel is supported by a healthcare panel that includes a Dr, Physiotherapist, Osteopath, Foot & Ankle specialist and Nutritional Therapist. Free from the AudioFuel website is podcast footage showing how to warm up before and stretch out after running as well as a handbook giving detailed information about exercising, injury prevention and nutrition. AudioFuel’s sports expert, Emma Fisher says “What’s often missing for people, whether they want to get fit for the first time, lose a bit of weight or train to run a marathon, is the motivation. AudioFuel is an excellent way to find the inspiration to start and keep going.”
