Black Boy Records (originally Black Boy Entertainment) is a record label, dealing largely in Hip-Hop/Rap music, founded by producer/entrepreneur Pernell “P.DOT” Lancaster in 2001. Over the years Black Boy has became the production brand for several new acts and inspiring those to launch labels of their own record labels in the birthplace of third ward. Black Boy has only experienced success a few times over a period of nine years releasing materials from mix tapes and commercial albums. Digital Distribution in the music industry had been a plus creating a platform for Black Boy to be competitive in hip-hop/rap genre against major artist. In 2010, Black Boy has already signed a solo rap artist Rob Steele and rap group called T.D.P (The Draft Pick). Veteran hip-hop/rap recording artist Dra-Ko will be releasing two projects this year and Black Boy will begin production on the new compilation album entitled “GOODFELLAS” really soon.
