Liner Notes: In the fall of 1998, Michael Elam became infatuated with the religious rituals of many denominations. Over a three year period, Michael began to craft this ambient piece to represent his infatuation with the ceremonial concept. This music is the product of that infatuation and nothing more.
The music was crafted to emulate the sounds made popular in the early 1980's synth-pop genre while incorporating a 1990's alternative rock style groove. The music could be best described as "a dark score for a RPG style video game" or " electronic hip-hop for Dungeons and Dragons".

Liner Notes: A collection of dark ambient, synth driven pieces that are focused on the transitions from earthly to spiritual states while drawing inspiration from the concept of the grave as an agent of transcendence.
The conceptual nature of this album was developed and executed by representing the human soul and basic spiritual essence through the physical sound of a drone. The progressions of the minimalist composition serve as a representation of the stages of transition throughout human life.

Liner Notes: Christopher Burkey is a multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter for the post industrial world. He currently resides in Northeast Ohio, but originally hails from the Cook Forest region of Pennsylvania.
His songs blend American modern rock with British electronic experimentation, while preserving some of the more ambitious elements from 70's progressive and classic rock.
The overall work of this album falls somewhere between 'Radiohead' and the 'Black Crowes' with a subtle dose of alt-country. This album displays a unique blend of acoustic and synth based elements to ultimately deliver the atmospheric tales of a rust belt troubadour.
The musicianship on this album is more of an overwhelming sensation than a tribute to technical mastery, this can be heard in any of the three instrumental pieces that are included.
Within these instrumental pieces, the listener is led into an imaginative realm that conjures images of Cajun swamps(Experimo), the Great Lakes(Sea Leg) and Pennsylvania Highways(Sneeze). Excellent driving music to say the least!

Pennywhistle
- Alternative, Jazz
- Michael Elam
- 03/20/2009

Liner Notes: "A man who is not content with the traditional journey will no doubt forge his own path"-Unknown
Michael Elam's Pennywhistle is a collection of songs that have been "works in progress" for over a decade. Some dating back to as early as 1993 and some that were inspired by the loss of close friends.
The concept is the actualization of continued progression and movement beyond the creative process. Exploring the idea of moving beyond the indulgence of chasing a muse and into a realm in which the creative subconscious is unlocked when encountering an environment of uncharted cognitive territory.

Apogee 13
- Jazz, Rock
- Apogee 13
- 03/27/2009

Liner Notes: Apogee 13 is a Jazz/Fusion group comprised of six music majors who met at Kent State University. Unlike many other groups who dwell in the Jazz/Fusion genre, Apogee 13 not only incorporates the various types of jazz and classical composition theory into their approach; they also touchdown in the often dodged genre of metal.
The compositions are often intense sonic journeys that are not shy of blending Saxophones and Keys with odd metered metal influenced grooves. These songs often begins with smooth Wes Montgomery or John McLaughlin type intros and rapidly shift into quirky Primus-esque like creations. Apogee manages to successfully echo their jazz forefathers while nodding to their modern counterparts.
