Liner Notes: We must act to stop the wars and the crimes and the brutality of this and future ages. We have powers of a remarkable kind. We have a high degree of freedom in choosing what we will do. Humanism tells us that whatever our philosophy of the universe may be, ultimately the responsibility for the kind of world in which we live rests with us. We must make the best of the one life we have by creating meaning and purpose for ourselves. We must choose to take responsibility for our actions and work with others for the common good. Humanism is based on humanity and reason – humanists recognise that moral values are properly founded on human nature and experience alone and that the aims of morality should be human welfare, happiness and fulfillment. We can and will continue to find solutions to the world's problems, so that quality of life can be improved for everyone. Be positive, gain inspiration from our lives, art and culture, and a rich natural world. We have only one life, it is our responsibility to make it a good life, and to live it to the full. CoeXisT
