You’re forever in our hearts- we all miss you so. I want to thank so many of the wonderful people that God has brought into my life over the past several years, without them my debut album “Lila” would not have been made possible. My love, my wife Lolly- you’ve really inspired many of my songs by the way you love me and for being my best friend. My parents John and Cindy for their unbelievable support and strength, my brother John who always believed in me as well as influenced and educated me- thanks for showing me the blues scale back in the mid 90’s! Big sis Celine who introduced me to a certain album that ended up leading me to NY, and sweet little Clementine (who gets free guitar lessons when she grows up!) The Patrick family, who have always been there for us, Rob and Debbie, and also Paige (thanks for enduring the very last session with me, I know it went on and on…wasn’t Woodstock cool!) and all the rest of the Patricks’. All our dear friends down south, Jackson and Annie- we love you guys. All my students back in Fort Worth that are keeping good rock n roll alive- keep it up! Henry and Tina Hirsch for believing in my music, especially at a time when I thought nobody was listening or cared, you let Lolly and I into your world and we’re both better in so many ways because of you two. Bram Tobey for being there during all the sessions over these years and for his consistent and hard work in and outside of the studio. Chris Theis who worked after hours in order to get great mixes and levels. All the strings and horn players who drove up from the city, a special thanks to Gabe Montano for helping notating the orchestral and horn parts. Laura Murphy for her creative eye and taking great pictures. Kim at the tea shop for her help housing us, Barb at Baba Louie’s for feeding us and introducing us to such wonderful friends, Kevin at pm for allowing us to perform, Astrid at le gamin for being the first to play us on the stereo, Jackie who has been helpful in booking us, and all the other wonderful people of Hudson and the rest of New York who have embraced a young couple from Texas and helped to make our 2nd home a comfortable one. God bless you all, we can’t thank you enough. Chris Swicegood July 2010

Liner Notes: Somehow she needs love more than she needs anything his heart bleeds for a lover who deceived him now will there be a way to find each other is there a way before it's too late she needs somebody who will give her their whole life only chance may be right now will he find his way to her somehow he passes her she passes him each evening neither of them know that the others grieving now will there be a way to find each other will fate help them before it's too late he needs somebody who will love him his whole life only chance may be right now will she find her way to him somehow she needs somebody who will give her their whole life only chance may be right now will he find his way to her somehow desperately they both hope to find what was missing in their lovers eyes will they find love or will they wait somehow they have to before it's too late they need somebody who can open up the door only chance may be right now will they find their way somehow only chance may be right now will they find their way somehow all I know how many days like this must we go through so far away from where they seemed so new this weary heart of mine can't take much more I pray we get back as we were before cause you are all I have in this world to hold I will never let you go your love's all that I know you are all I have in a world that's so cold I could never let you go your love's all I know I know I wasn't always there for you but baby never once was I untrue when this war's over when there is no more I'll find my way back to that distant shore cause you are all I have in this world to hold I will never let you go your love's all that I know you are all I have in a world that's so cold I could never let you go your love's all I know I know I know that we both have our worries but I'll go the distance for you these hand will help take us through the good times and bad you're all in the world that I have you are all I have in this world to hold I will never let you go your love's all that I know you are all I have in a world that's so cold I could never let you go your love's all I know evermore stepped out last night and noticed you you were alone and I was too all at once you were on your way I tried to think of something to say must of been three or four days into June I tried to write this song for you might have helped if I knew your name but only have myself to blame I would be there for you I would be there evermore something about the way you looked at me I've seen before stepped out last night and noticed you your pale eyes gazing up at the moon if I were given the chance once more I'd sing you this song evermore I would be there for you I would be there evermore something about the way you looked at me I've seen before I would be there for you I would be there evermore something about the way you looked at me I've seen before maybe one day we will meet again under the light of the moon until that day I'll call you evermore and I'll dream about you I would be there for you I would be there evermore something about the way you looked at me I've seen before I would be there for you I would be there evermore something about the way you looked at me I've seen before when your heart has no home there I was alone without a hope lost but driftin' along tired and beat my soul incomplete since I lost touch with Lila times had changed my mind was not the same since I chose only blame to be unknown is to be free to run you'll be lost when your heart has no home I was wild I was free but the light I did see since you've been gone I've changed my wrong ways so here I stand with empty hands but found my way back to shore once unknown once free to run you'll be lost if your heart has no home you'll be alone when your heart has no home back to you I built a bridge of hope for you and for me I hope it never crumbles to the sea though I fell short of your trust when I withdrew you walked that bridge with me a thousand times you and I together we were partners in crime though I fell short of your trust when I withdrew but I'm coming back to you I'll make it right I'll undo all the pain that you went through our love can't be through I'm coming back to you I can't go on without your love as my guide can't you see darling that my heart I can't hide I need you more than you know right by my side we can't repay the debt of time gone by we can rebuild what's lost though if we try yes I fell short of your trust when I withdrew but I'm coming back to you I'll make it right I'll undo all the pain that you went through look in my eyes you know it's true the time for you and I is due our love can't be through I'm coming back to you tell me that our love can be found tell me that your heart knows no bounds for the life we share and that you'll still care for me I'm coming back to you I'll make it right I'll undo all the pain that you went through look in my eyes you know it's true the time for you and I is due our love can't be through I'm coming back to you it's you that I adore I can't imagine where I would be if you never took the chance with me never will I forget your name I know that my life won't be the same it's only lonely without you here somehow my heart carries on dear cause it's you it's you that I adore please before you go I want you to know that it's you it's you that I adore please before you go I want you to know it's you that I adore you gave your reason you gave me your love most of all you gave me strength when I had none If I could change one thing I would I would take the time we had back for good it's only lonely without you here somehow my heart carries on dear cause it's you it's you that I adore please before you go I want you to know that it's you it's you that I adore please before you go I want you to know it's you that I adore there's one thing I need to say to you I will never stop loving you yes it's true it's you that I adore cause it's you it's you that I adore please before you go I want you to know that it's you it's you that I adore please before you go I want you to know it's you that I adore you can love me tonight you can love me tonight she told me everything will be right at home dear you can show me your love and hold me lets take the risk and see what unfolds here your love's always a kiss away from ever making it home another lonely night alone when you could love me love me love me tonight I can sense that your heart's full of fear I can sense that you loved her for years don't underestimate what I can give I can give you my all I'll give you my all but your love's always a kiss away from ever taking me home another lonely night alone when you could love me love me love me tonight how much more pain must I go through don't know what I'd do without you cause I'm lost and you could make it right you could love me tonight love me tonight alright your love's always a kiss away from ever taking me home another lonely night alone when you could love me tonight love me love me tonight you can love me tonight she told me everything will be alright don't underestimate what I can give you baby should have known better I've been fooled by you now what's this poor fool to do I spilled my heart then you left without a care I should have known better than to think that love was there you appeared like a dream it seemed so very real to me thought you could fill the void of a soul so in despair I should have known better than to think that love was there I should have known better should have left you alone now my heart's in pieces and my fate is unknown and the pain you caused is more than I can bear I should have known better than to think that love was there sometimes you win sometimes you cry with you I lost when I bought into your lies didn't realize it then now I see you never cared I should have known better than to think that love was there I should have known better should have left you alone now my heart's in pieces and my fate is unknown and the pain you caused is more than I can bear I should have known better than to think that love was there I've been tricked before now no more can I ignore it such a toll love can take so easy a heart can break yeah the pain you caused is more than I can bear should have known better maybe someday maybe there's still a way to remember where we were I can recall a time not long ago that you were mine I believe in my heart you still care and it's love we could find if only I could find a way I'd change your mind then maybe someday won't be lonely maybe someday you'll be there I dare to dream of a day that finds it's way to you you told me before you had never felt more alive could it be we lost sight of what was you and I I believe in my heart you still care and it's love we could find if only I could find a way I'd change your mind then maybe someday won't be lonely maybe someday you'll be there I dare to dream of a day that finds it's way to you maybe someday won't be lonely maybe someday you'll be there I dare to dream of a day that finds it's way to you I'm still holding on to the good and bad the years with you were the best I had maybe Ironically, as Mel Torme started writing the classic “The Christmas Song” on a hot summer day in 1944, “When You’re Not Here (on Christmas)” also began in Texas. “The Spirit of 1914” is a tribute to a number of British and German soldiers who on Christmas Eve laid down their arms and engaged in song and the exchanging of gifts. May the spirit of every Christmas bring with it love to our families, friends, and prayers of hope to our fellow man. Thank you to our family and friends whose love we cherish so deeply. God Bless you all and Merry Christmas! C&L
