Compositions and Guitar Explorations

Chris is a writer,arranger and performer of music who has recorded professionally and performed in indoor/outdoor stages and venues throughout the South and Northeast.Former recording artist for Orchard Park/Orchard Beat Recordings. He composed/arranged with his duo partner in his group Celtimorphosis, which produced two nationally distributed releases on the Orchard Beat Label,as well as appeared on many other nationally distributed local albums.In 1994, he co-arranged music for a PBS Civil War documentary,Helmira,which was nominated for an Emmy and seen on over 60 PBS stations nationwide(produced by PBS affiliate WSKG, Binghamton,NY).He wrote and published the guitar book, Guitar Excursions:Seven Studies for the Intermediate Player in the Jazz/Blues Idiom. He has scored original music for the KNOW Theatre's annual festivals in Binghamton,NY for three seasons. Recently,Chris launched his own small music business, Smiling Collie Music and Productions(dba Ciaracollie Music pub.),and he conducts his teaching and publishing/e-commerce under this name. Back in the 80's and early 90's, Chris did studio commercial jingle work. Lastly, Chris sits on the Board of Directors of the Classical Guitar Society of Upstate New York, and is a member of ASCAP.
