Vibe
- Blues, Rock
- David Gogo
- 04/11/2007

Liner Notes: David Gogo's seventh album, entitled Vibe, is an all-original affair with a unique blend of songs written with the likes of Tom Wilson(Junkhouse/Blackie & The Rodeo Kings), Craig Northey (The Odds/Colin James) and John Capek, who has penned hits like "Rhythm of My Heart" for Rod Stewart.
Vibe showcases Gogo's new found vocal strengths, on songs like "I'll Do Anything" and "300 Pound Shoes", which on this release, match his profound skill on guitar.
Recorded in his hometown, Nanaimo, BC, Vibe is co-produced by David and his longtime engineer, Rick Salt.
Renowned guitarist, Jeff Healey makes a guest appearance with a blistering guitar solo on "She's All Right" and friend and co-writer Tom Wilson also lends his talent with backing vocals on "Love In The City".

Liner Notes: Vancouver rock band State of Shock have released their newest album "Life, Love and Lies" on Cordova Bay Records.
Founding members Johnny Philippon (drums) and Jesse Wainwright (guitar) got together in 1999. Rounding out the quintet are singer Cameron Melnyk, bassist Alison Toews, and newest member, Simon "Kadooh" Clow on guitar.
Following their release of "Life, Love and Lies", State of Shock will spent 6 weeks opening for Nickelback on the Canadian leg of their North American tour and added additional duty opening for Puddle of Mudd, Grady and Aerosmith.
Their first Canadian single, "Money Honey" has gone Gold in Canada and has spent 16 weeks on top 10 radio charts as well as reaching #8 ON the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 Chart.

Please Please Me (Single)
- Americana, Country
- Wyckahm Porteous
- 10/20/2007

Liner Notes: Please Please Me was first recorded by The Beatles on their second full recording session with EMI on September 11, 1962 -- nearly 45 years ago for those counting. The first day's recording on September 4th did not go well (they recorded How Do You Do It and Love Me Do). On the 11th, they rerecorded Love Me Do (18 takes) along with P.S. I Love You (10 takes) and a slow ballad called Please Please Me. This song was a tribute to Roy Orbison and had that slow lament tempo that was his hallmark.
Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You was released (the 1st Beatle single) on October 5th and reached #17 on the charts. (The original recording had Andy White on drums but Ringo was there for later released versions.)
On November 26 The Beatles arrived once again at Abbey Road Studios and rerecorded Please Please Me in studio 2 starting at 7 PM. George Martin was not happy with the tempo of the track from the original session and being the producer requested that it be moved more up-tempo for this session. After 18 takes, they were all pleased with the result. It was released as The Beatles' 2nd single on January 11, 1964 and it was the first of many #1 hits for the lads from Liverpool.
Andrew Loog Oldham, who later became the producer, co-writer and manager of the Rolling Stones among others, was in the studio and heard the original version of the song. He always remembered it and when he and Wyckham Porteous were in a studio in Vancouver on Canada's West Coast, he suggested that they record it.
The tempo is very different from the final Beatle version but it works extremely well. Andrew's addition of pedal-steel, strings and finally sitar pre-echo the full scope of what The Beatles would present to the world during their brief and fiery 7 years.
This recording has taken a very long time to prepare, complete and present and we hope you enjoy it as much as the creators have.

Liner Notes: This, the Canadian release of 3 AM by Vancouver based singer-songwriter Wyckham Porteous, is a wonderful mix of Wyckham's heartfelt originals and some brilliant covers including The Beatles smash hit of 1963, "Please, Please Me". This album was produced and arranged by music legend Andrew Loog Oldham and has already received much critical acclaim in the UK and North America. On 3 AM Wyckham's deep emotive appeal is tastefully accompanied by some of Canada's finest musicians.

- Porkbelly Futures
- 03/31/2008

Liner Notes: Porkbelly Futures is a unique band that brings together some great Canadian talent. This album features award-winning author Paul Quarrington on guitar and vocals; founding member of the Canadian Brass, Stuart Laughton on Trumpet, Mandolin, Pedal Steel, Guitar; singer/songwriter Rebecca Campbell; highly acclaimed drummer and composer Martin Worthy; Toronto Symphony member Chas Elliot on bass; and last but certainly not least, as this record is dedicated to him - the late, great Richard Bell (Ronnie Hawkins, Janis Joplin) playing keys on his last recording. The result of this union is a fun, super-tight collection of rocking blues songs with a country twang.

Vince Vaccaro
- Rock, Pop
- Vince Vaccaro
- 04/28/2009

Liner Notes: Vince Vaccaro has identified himself as a musician from an early age. Describing his earliest memories, he says, “One of my first conscious memories is the sound of a vinyl record spinning and crackling right before the music starts to play. I remember watching Chuck Berry on the television one morning, the black and white footage was grainy and the sound was a bit hard on my young ears. Right then and there I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life.”
After several years of putting his heart into bands that never quite felt right, Vince strapped on a backpack and ended up in Australia where he continued to write music deeply rooted in emotion and experience. A few months later he heard the calling to hurry home and record the songs he had created. The resulting EP was released digitally worldwide in 2006 and he has since spent most of his time playing shows and promoting his music.
Vince has shared the stage with the likes of Matt Mays & El Torpedo, The Trews, 54-40, LIGHTS and Hayley Sales. He has performed at numerous festivals including Transmission, Kelowna’s Centre of Gravity Festival, the Vancouver Dragonboat Festival and has appeared on Much Music.
Restless to write new songs and reach more people Vince recorded Gypsy Son, produced by legendary Canadian Neil Osborne (54-40, Jets Overhead). A straight-up rock album that combines beat-driven intensity and strong melodic vocals, they created an album that is instantly easy to like. It is the perfect example of what defines Vince Vaccaro - an honest record with no tricks, no fancy samples, just a couple of guys making real music.
