Kendall "Da Kid K" Newsome , is a 19 year old rapper from the the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area. His early life starting in the Prince Georges County which is an outer suburb of Washington D.C. After his parents split at a young age. Young Kendall and his mother moved to Howard County until the age of 13, and following to Anne Arundel where his adult-life began. Therefore, "Da Kid K" representsthe D.C, Maryland, Virginia area aka "The DMV", to the fullest.
Raised by his strong mother "Angela Barnes." Just like many other youth. "Da Kid K" used his fatherless childhood to fuel, motivate and express feelings through music. "Da Kid K" first picked up the pen at the age of 8 and has been slicing away at the journal pages ever since. "Da Kid K" has came a long way from recording on a dusty tape recorder that he found in his Grandfathers dresser, to becoming a well known upcoming star. "Da Kid K" believes it wasn't his choice to start writing music, but more of a heaven sent talent and most importantly his destiny.
Even though he hasn't signed a major deal yet, he feels like a veteran. Da Kid K hit single "WHEN I DROP" catapulted his career and landed him an appearance on 93.9 WKYS Russ Parr Morning Show at age 14,as well as performances in various venues from DC to NYC. Performing infront Of Senator Skid (Bad Boy Records A&R), Kevin Weekes(G Unit Records/Thisis50).
Since then Da KiD K has released his his 10th debut mixtape "New World Dreams" which has elevated to more than 15 Million hits worldwide. His new found success shortly landed him his biggest performance yet, opening up at Auburn University on November 15th, 2013 for fellow DMV artist and Grammy Nominee "Wale Folarin." Da KiD K finds himself preparing for his first independent album "King Killa 3", under his own LLC and record label "Zone 5 Entertainment", release date is TBA.
