Brisbane newcomer, End of Words is the latest project by Garet Griffin. Griffin began his musical journey playing spoons at bluegrass gatherings in the US as a child. In 1989, he joined his first non-school band, which later evolved into The Mad Planet... a pseudo-punk psychedelic acid grunge experiment that lasted for 7 years, with openers for the likes of Ween, Gin Blossoms and others that passed through his hometown Las Vegas. During this time Griffin contributed session work for local startups The Western Virus, The Dark Lords, The Bagdanov Project and others.
In 1999 Griffin emigrated to Sydney, Australia, and there established The New Strange (Davoco), as well as more session work with hip hop crew The Basik Sound (brain child of the late-great Nathan Bridger). Griffin moved to Brisbane in 2006 seeking a quieter life than Sydney had to offer, and now works to re-establish his solo concepts and reconnect through the inspiring Brisbane music community.
