estalegal
The band "estalegal" (está legal in Portuguese means "all right!”) was born in Rome in 2005. The musicians come from various experiences (particularly from jazz) but have in common a great passion for brasilian music. The goal of the band is to promote the MPB (musica popular brasileira) through an Italian style by mixing two different cultures in an innovative way. The estalegal are a quintet with Anna Fabrizi on voice, Renato Bonanni on guitars, Stefano Ferretti on keyboards, Geraldo Monteiro on bass and Mauro Salvatore on drums. The repertoire is based both on a large original production and on many brasilian covers composed by great traditional and modern musicians (Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Djavan, Baden Powell, Vinicius De Moraes, João Bosco, Joyce, Rosa Passos, Tom Jobim, João Gilberto...).
