INSANITY - Pioneers of Old School Death Metal

Insanity are pioneers of old school death metal who played faster, heavier and more technical than anyone in 1985. Unfortunately they remained underground due to a number of reasons most notably the death of vocalist/guitarist Joe DeZuniga in 1987. Since 2005 after Napalm Death covered the band on the Leaders Not Followers vol. 2 release, they have been making a comeback with the From The Grave release distributed by Relapse Records. In March of 2007 Insanity played a ripping set at the Los Angeles Murderfest 8 months before drummer Bud Mills (who pioneered the blast beat) died of cancer. Insanity has several new releases in the works including the 2nd full length release Visions of Apocalypse although they are still shopping it to labels and reforming with a new drummer.
