Ivan Silva / Shamanavi

Ivan Winke (born December 5, 1982) is an independent Artist / DJ / Producer / Remixer from Chicago. His notable solo projects are Ivan Silva and Shamanavi. His side projects are Shamanavi & Pale Horse and Shamanavi & Roaring Lion.

Ivan grew up in the southwest side of Chicago. He embraced many forms of art & was exposed to all kinds of music as a child. At 15, he established himself as a DJ by spinning at local underground parties, lounges & night clubs throughout the Chicago-land area. At 19, he began to invest in more equipment such as computers, drum machines, sequencers & synthesizers. Since then he has strived for diversity & has created a wide variety of music that reflects this world inside/out, physically & spiritually. His knowledge of music production & technique is self-taught. Xochipillinavi Studios (founded in September 2001) is where he summons the sounds of Shamanavi & his various projects. Record label affiliations include Australian Psychedelic Trance label Fish 'n Trips Records.

Ivan Silva / Shamanavi has remixed several artists such as The Doors, Bob Marley, Depeche Mode, New Order, The Cure, Massive Attack, Rammstein, The Beatles, BT, Sasha, Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Zedd, Timo Maas, Funkagenda, Blu Mar Ten, Cypress Hill & Rusko. He has performed throughout America & Australia including Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Gamma Festival @ Ozark Mountains, Sydney, Melbourne & Rainbow Serpent Festival 2011 & 2013
