Liner Notes: This is a collection of piano dreams I recorded with a single microphone on my old Steinway upright a few years ago when the babies were small. On quiet days I went about calling up some pictures in my mind to set a melody to and, to have something from home to play when the little ones were trying to go to sleep. We made some copies for family and friends and, since the songs came in so easy, we decided to send them out the same way. Just simple songs to dream by. I hope you like them and share them with those you know who want to go. I know from experience that they prove out.

Liner Notes: More than a decade ago, Warner/Chappell Music, my publisher at the time, wanted to put together a collection of my songs with the hope of getting some of them recorded by country music stars. It ended up being a two-disc set called "Mining." Disc One contained fully-produced country demos by some very talented session singers and players. I never wanted the rough-and-tumble versions to get lost though, so I sat down in front of a microphone and my DAT machine and let them go. Those guitar/vocal versions of the songs as I intended them to be are the recordings that became Disc Two of that collection and are the tracks offered here. Included in this set is an intimate version of "They're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone" which Sam Bush recorded on his "King of My World" CD and also one that Lisa Brokop, (a great singer from Vancouver, B.C. ) covered called "Never Did Say Goodbye" on her first release for Capitol in 1994. Thanks to Barbara Behler for finding the pic of the young miner and to Michael Delevante for the artwork design.
