BIENVENIDOS al SITIO OFICIAL de JULIO REVUELTAS en TuneCore ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to the TuneCore oficial site of Julio Revueltas, Bowed guitar player. He was born in Mexico City, where he studied music and chose the electric guitar as his main instrument. In time, he became a revelation to the musical landscape of electronic jazz-rock-fusion music. Today, in this mentioned landscape, Julio Revueltas is praised as one of the very best exponents of this musical expression that Mexico is giving to the world. Julio has performed in many festivals, concerts and presentations all over Mexico, United states, Canada and Russia. He has designed a guitar that he calls The Viotarra and this instrument is on the wall of Hard Rock Cafe in Mexico City. Julio Revueltas has revolutionized the performance potential of the electric guitar by adding the use of a violin bow, "The VIOTARRA" (builded by the great guitar maker Jonathan Wilson of Los Angeles CA) produced an unusual and unique sound.

Liner Notes: En 1990 dimos una "tocada" en un lugar llamado "Rockotitlan" en la ciudad de Mexico. Nos tocaba abrirle a un tal "Julio Revueltas" Cuando llegamos al foro su banda empezaba a sonorizar. De pronto aquel adolecente tomo su guitarra y comenzo a tocar..., no se cuanto tiempo paso, pero de pronto mi compañero Abimael me regreso a la realidad cerrandome la boca con la mano, mi mandibula inferior colgaba ante el asombro. Aquellos dedos volaban emitiendo notas sublimes, el timbre de su guitarra aleteaba con la dulzura de un gorrion. Aquella noche al terminar de tocar se acerco a felicitarme, por supuesto le dije que me honraba su felicitacion viniendo de un super guitarrista. Poco despues lo visite y me obsequio un CASSETTE con el PRIMER DEMO independiente de su trabajo. Con el paso de los años el perdio ese material. De ahi el valor que tiene este material inedito IRRECUPERABLE que ni El mismo tiene.
