A native of New York, Larry Liso began his musical career at the age of nine, playing dances and church functions. He formed a family band with his sisters and cousin. Throughout high school they played private parties and weddings when he decided to pursue a career in music. Studying trumpet and theory he expanded his musical talent to include guitar and vocals.
After starting a family, he continued his career performing in night clubs and high end private parties throughout The Hamptons and Manhattan, including Gurney’s Inn, Fresco’s, The South Hampton Inn, as well as countless others.
After relocating to Las Vegas he continued to write music and performed his solo act at corporate functions at the Wynn’s Grand Lafite room, Sky Room at Bally’s Hotel, The Bellagio, Caesars’ Palace, Planet Hollywood, Venetian Hotel, Red Rock Casino and The Rush Lounge in the world renowned Golden Nugget.
Larry’s rare talent caught the eye of Kelly Clinton, the musical director of The Stirling Club at Turnberry Place in Las Vegas. He was invited to join the already established show The Shades of Sinatra and has opened for Don Rickles at the Golden Nugget, The South Point and Sun Coast Casinos. They were also invited to do guest spots on The Dennis Bono Jazz Hour, The Tony Sacca Radio show and Channel 13 local Entertainment News and the popular radio station, KJUL.
Larry’s solo act is a collaboration of all styles of music from beautiful standards to contemporary hits. His band, Whiskey Tango, was created to enhance his musical talent and present his original music the way it is meant to be played. Larry Liso is one of those rare entertainers who touches your heart while he is performing. He brings another level of talent and commitment to his career as he performs his original music which is honest and heartfelt.
