LAZAR
I make music to participate in social change so that when I go to the halls of my ancestors, I shall not feel ashamed in their mighty company.

- 05/19/2011

Liner Notes: We released our first 4-song EP, Chants, Woes & Lamentations, on May 9, 2011 and, much to our surprise, One Kingdom came barreling through to be completed only 10 days later! All five songs got extra juice from the Arab Spring uprisings which began during recording. Production was interrupted by the near-death experience of our lead vocalist, which inspired the new band's name and had a dramatic effect on both the lyric and production sound of the songs. The album and this single are available exclusively on iTunes. Please visit Lazar on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lazar/151151244951491

Liner Notes: That Holy Day, written and performed by Tribal Frequencies
The earth is shaking
my body's quaking
the glass is breaking
I know that this is the ending of the way
that I was heading
and now I'm dreading
I'm dreading that holy day
The piper's calling
kingdoms are falling
leaders are crawling
they know that this is the ending of the way
that they were heading
and now they're dreading
They're dreading that holy day.
The red sun's rising
John's baptizing
down by the river
I know that this is the ending of the way
that I was living
I am forgiven
forgiven on that holy day
We stick together
through stormy weather
brothers and sisters
we know that this is the dawning of the day
when we're together
Together on that holy day.
The earth is shaking
my body's quaking
the glass is breaking
I know that this is the ending of the way
that I was heading
and now I'm dreading
I'm dreading that holy day
