Noem Nova

Noem Nova

Electronett Noem Nova:

Seven Noem from Austria and Kafi-d from Switzerland are the actual newcomer tip: unadjusted, talented and peculiar.

Already the first prior publications of Niob Noir showed: Noem Nova is a studio act made from music enthusiasts for music enthusiasts. Electricism. Transformation. Mutation. These are the key issues of Noem Nova. Neither style nor artist definition but the definition of their own approach. Noem Novas‘ performance in the music club „Conrad Sohm“ in Dornbirn had its abstract moments. One reason was Seven Noems’ stage appearance: She appeared in a candy turquoise glittery mini-balloon-dress combined with a pair of shiny sequined Volton-leggins in an opulent 80`s style. However, the main reason were the easy listening melodies of Kafi-d, which seemed to fly as light as a feather over the contrarian groove of the almost legendary drummer “Carlo Lorenzi”. On tour they usually play in different setting. Anybody around gets involved into the show. Only Carlo Lorenzi is the little constant part of the Noem Nova’s, he is the one who enriches the Elektronett on stage. Producer and keyboarder Kafi-d likes to combine the charme of the old style with the new digital world. He reflects constant renewal as well as the permanent reinvention of possibilities. Singer Seven Noem polarizes. Some of her lyics as in ”Sharks in Heaven” are extraordinarily direct. They criticize the enervating impulse of an unloved child with furious words. In her song “Futijama” she cheeckily mocks about the men’s world. „I’m the hot shot you are bleeding for, I’m the strange tone on a radio, but I’m the Futijama in Tokyo“. Those who take this seriously bear the blame. She hardly ever minces her words. Her sincerity becomes more obvious rather in the form than in the content. Here, the abstract has more to offer than the apparent. Her music convinces in a fresh way. On one side, she is astonishingly unusual, on the other she is very catchy without chumming up. One reason for this is, that the studio act set a new focus by referring to the early eighties. A constant factor is: Noem Nova love it subtle, rampant and colorful. Even more important is that both of them have a brillinat songwriting talent. They know how to capture the spirit of the time. Even before the release of their debut album “Niob Noir” Noem Nova is classified as a highlight for an overstimulated generation searching for its self-determination. This promises a successful and bright future for the electro act from the Rhine Valley.
