Official Only The Dust Remains
Founded in 2009 in Tampa, Florida by singer, guitarist Dana Presson II (War Machine), ONLY THE DUST REMAINS is an Epic Metal band inspired by the works of cinematic composers such as Basil Poledouris and Gerard Marino and music inspired by the early wave of '90s Swedish and Norwegian epic, Metal and Black Metal bands. The band's music glorious in conquering themes, epic, cinematic scoring, choirs, and keyboards; combined with cataclysmic drums, and unmitigated, attacking guitar riffs.
ONLY THE DUST REMAINS made their recording debut in the underground scene in 2010 with a limited EP titled, Gates of Jericho. Producers Mark Prator (Obituary) and Fredrich Nordstrom (Arch Enemy) consulted with the band during the tracking of Gates of Jericho. The release gained increasing momentum and notoriety with an Official Player Endorsement with Madison Amplification.
ONLY THE DUST REMAINS are finalizing their new studio album, Noctem Aeternam Act I: Quem Deus Vult Perdere, the band's first concept album. Inspired by the works of Roman poet, Ovidus Naso; an epic story set in Ancient Roman times of gods and mortals. The band recruited production legend, Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Opeth) to provide additional stem mixing and mastering. Noctem Aeternam also features an epic, guitar appearance by Dallas Coyle.
ONLY THE DUST REMAINS is set to release Noctem Aeternam March 18th, 2012.
