Hello, beautiful music.
We love music that is alive, that astonishes us, moves us, takes us away.
We don’t know anyone who only loves rock or only loves hip hop or only loves trance. People we have met like this turned out to be knobheads.
We believe in mistakes, strange timing, the odd bum note, surface noise and the ghost in the machine.

Liner Notes: Hello friends
My business partner and confidant, Lord Fuxley, has entrusted to me the task of introducing our first album presentation PINPRICK COMPILATION 1.
I commend it to you.
For when you insert this disc and press play, you will experience more than the music of a collection of tiny minded Individuals. This disc is a Manifesto, an aural realisation of the twenty-first century attitude – zeitgeist, some say – that is “iPod on shuffle.”
Some will call it schizophrenic. But what better way to soundtrack our modern Condition, in which poor eating habits and the collapse of the manufacturing and mining industries breed mental illness and the prizing of so-called “people skills” – a Euphemism for the perpetual perversion of the true selves of millions of Britons into servile actors whose energies are farmed by pimp governments, corporations and “agencies.”
In this constant anxiety-state, hyper-aware as we have become of neverending attacks on our Minds and Emotions from organisations seeking to brainwash and control us with propaganda, “relaxing” voiceovers, mood music, store layout, telephone vote, “anti-terrorist” Legislation, sedatives and “anti-depressants”, taxes and wars and counselling and risk management and mock outrage, setting us against one another with Tittle-tattle and paparazzi Filth, we have been forced to retreat to our own castles and caves, protect our ears with headphones and our eyes with dark glasses, and soundtrack our existence with noise of our own choosing. How else are we to attempt to take back control of what little of us has not already been sold into Consumer Debt and conformist slavery?
PINPRICK COMPILATION 1 will not solve your problems. It exists to soundtrack the conditions that created it: depression, fear, powerlessness, frustration, anger – above all, perhaps, Emptiness. In this it differs not one jot from the current contents of your iPod. It contains precisely nothing new.
You may chuckle or belly-laugh through Foot’s “Telephone Music”; you may fear for your sanity during OMG’s “Bip Bop”; you may wonder at the mathematics of Thumper’s three part epic “Breathe” or share in the anger and disgust of “Fire To Feed.” Others have. But do not expect it to save you from the World – you must do that yourself, and now. There’s the rub; now you must make your decision.
I remain, yours

Liner Notes: Hello friends
My business partner and confidant, Lord Fuxley, has entrusted to me the task of introducing the first and only song by his band The Gays.
I commend it to you.
For as you press play, after importation to your Hard disk drive, you may discern from its freakish modality and fruitless anger a kind of frustrated sexual dalliance – on the one hand, the Gay himself, screaming black murder; on the other, an Innocent, courting the Star without hesitation or thought.
And why should the Innocent hesitate? Who are we to criticise its self-Determination? For, in the final Analysis of the sphere of Philosophy, is there indeed a greater or more wonderful situation than the possession of a free will?
Yet the Gay rails on, his black murder extended by Waster’s wicked sloth into a magnum opus, hardly stopping in his bludgeoning of the fledgling’s Ego until it is blasted to smithereens. A tragedy, of sorts – no Illusion here of comedic intent, I fear: “what’s a life without pride/When you’re tied to the ways of the weak?”
And so to the real mystery. Wherefore Fuxley’s insistence that this Performance should simultaneously begin and end the existence of The Gays? Friends, can it be but that this entreaty, this brief Expression of a personality’s malcontent, contains such a burden of Blackness that it should never be repeated? This is where I must find my Corner of relief, and it is my greatest Hope that it is a true and accurate reflection of his Mind-State.
As to your own Mind, I believe there is no greater honour than to command for the briefest of moments the Attention Span of another human Being; and so I thank you for your indulgence and wish for you an ensuing great Enjoyment of Life.
I remain yours, with honest and true intention

Liner Notes: Hello friends
My business partner and confidant, Lord Fuxley, has entrusted to me the task of introducing this debut release by Foot: Telephone Music.
I commend it to you.
As its mellifluous sonic waves caress the drums of your ears and vibrate their accompanying ossicles, it may, I fear, surprise and assault those of you whose hearts are, perhaps, somewhat faint. There is a Vehemence about the vocal Portions that belies the gentility of its Opening.
Whence this odd conjunction? Of course, it is the enfant terrible himself, Fuxley, attired as Enola Gay, wading deep into the flotation tank of the Foot with only a pair of exquisite Russian galoshes to protect him from the teeming marine life.
And yet, perhaps there is a certain Collusion at work – I must confess I myself have observed a Silliness in the instrumentalist, the presence of a childlike Idiocy which, its flames fanned by the Antics of a certain Fool, dares proffer a curious Antler to the chief protagonist, the which again but elevates it to (belay the naysayers) the coveted Alpha status, encourages its tomfoolery, acts in such a way as to make natural its prancing, et cetera.
Nevertheless, one may discern a genuine Significance herein. Who among us has not suffered at the hands of the worst excesses of the modern “recorded message”? The pain of servicing our contemporary Customer is such that we must keep her at bay with a thin stretch of Analogue Tape or, worse, Digital Interference. Aye friends – and are you really without fault in this matter, in the Employment of your own mobile telephone answering Service?
As concerns the latter, I make no judgement; every woman and man must answer only to her and him Self, and I have said too much withal. I must hope and trust that your own Nature is an improvement upon my own (of which I am certain) and immediately withdraw my own Spikes of Postulation from your excellent Head; additionally, I salute your impeccable taste.
I remain yours, with honest and true intention
