Ross Gabriel is a music producer, composer and re-mixer from South Africa’s breath-taking Mother-City, Cape Town.
His major musical influences include Chicane, Jamiroquai, Alter Bridge, Evanescence, Tiesto, Infected Mushroom, Kaskade, Dr. Dre’, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson to name a few, and he is driven by melody, dynamic tones and expressive grooves.
Since his early years, he has sampled many musical styles and genres through performances on piano, keyboards, guitar, bass and percussion, and gained valuable experience in the massive stage that is Live Music, all while getting his education in Music and Sound Engineering.
Ross Gabriel also randomly entered the wild and wonderful DJ world, enjoying the pleasure of energetic Trance and Hard House, as well as funky and soulful, vocal House Music, most notably with Afrophunk (now Funky Buddha) playing in many Cape Town night clubs such as Sutra and Vudu Lounge, also making various radio appearances on Good Hope FM in 2004, after which Ross went to the UK on a voyage of discovery. Returning 3 years later, Ross had a refreshed desire to contribute to the art form he is so addicted to. Quitting the 9-5 and ‘hibernating’ for the next 4 years, he aimed to perfect his skills and find his identity as a musician and producer.
Now, in 2011 Ross Gabriel is happy to present and express music in a way he never has before, through his recording studio Your Voice Productions. Starting with Ben Caesar’s Hip Hop/Electronica album “Le Tigra”, followed by Ross’ Electronica Album “Blend” and Ryan Morris’ Blues/Funk Album, he aims to release music for artists in all the genres he so passionately loves.
