What is a Music Video Bundle?

A Music Video Bundle is a product in the iTunes Store where fans receive extra video content when they purchase your album. You can include one or more music videos, a PDF booklet is included as part of the package. Adding a music video can help your sales as your retail price is automatically $11.99 per album.

What stores do you distribute video content to?

We work exclusively with iTunes for World Wide Music Video Distribution. Your standalone album is distributed to all other stores (Amazon, Spotify, etc.).

What are the approval requirements?

In order for your content to be approved it must be a true "MTV-Style" music video where an original song, that you own the copyrights to, is playing throughout the entire video.

How much does it cost?

The cost of distribution includes of encoding and bundling your music video, which is a labor intensive process.

How long does it take?

After we receive all of your assets, it generally takes about 4-5 weeks to get a music video bundle live on iTunes, given there are no major Quality Control issues with the video. If there are Quality Control issues with the video, then the process is elongated and a resubmission fee may apply. Please be sure to give yourself and TuneCore enough time to meet your deadlines. If your content has a spec error or Quality Control issue, it can be delayed by a week or until you resubmit the files to us.

IMPORTANT: What format does my film need to be in?

In order to get a music video live in iTunes it needs to meet certain format and specification requirements. For your guidance and review you can download our spec and format requirement document and common Quality Control issues here to ensure your video does not have any Quality Control (QC) issues.

It is imperative that your video match these specs so you can avoid any Quality Control issues which not only take time to fix, but require a resubmission fee (See below).

We cannot stress enough the importance of meeting our spec and format requirements, as making sure your content matches them is truly in your best interest. Please also follow the instructions on our spec guide to repair 4:1 cadence. To avoid a resubmission fee it is best to assume your video has 4:1 cadence and repair it as a safety precaution. If your music video fails Quality Control review it will need to be resubmitted and a resubmission fee will apply. There are several reasons why a music video may fail our Quality Control review. For a list of some of those reasons please refer to our spec guide.

How do I get my video to you?

After you submit your metadata and pay for your video you can upload the video to our FTP or you can mail a physical version of the video to us. Just email video@tunecore.com to get the FTP or shipping details.
