Sure it got darker a little early, but that didn’t keep anyone from enjoying that fantastic roof deck at the lovely Living Room in Williamsburg this past month. TuneCore kicked off its third edition of our live series in Brooklyn, and with the help of our buds at Swisher Sweets, CeleBuzz and Mirrored Media, it was a total party!
Kicking off the first set of the night was Fever High, fronted by Anna Nordeen and Reni Lane. The group played fun, lively pop music that couldn’t have gotten the night off to a better start. They even played some ‘spooky’ cuts to bring in the Halloween vibe, and displayed an impressive ability to cycle through instruments to further liven up their set – and that included a trombone!
Next up Jersey City’s own Crazy & the Brains, who represented a different genre of music but sacrifice any of the energy. This five-piece punk outfit kept everyone engaged with their catchy hooks and contagious spirit. Lead singer Chris wasn’t afraid to jump into the crowd and the band (xylophone included) kept it real with covers of The Jim Carroll Band and The Shangri-Las .
The final set of the night was brought to us by Beecher’s Fault, who soothed the crowd with their brand of thoughtful, well-harmonized indie rock. They shared songs from their latest album and even included a beautiful cover of Radiohead’s classic, “Fake Plastic Trees”. Beecher’s Fault showcased an amazing talent to bring softer, emotional songwriting to the stage with a HUGE sound behind it.
Thanks to everyone who came out – be sure to browse our photo gallery below and see if you made the cut! For those of you in the New York City area who weren’t able to make it, don’t worry! We’ll be keeping the party going in November – details to come – so you can hit our TuneCore Live Facebook page to keep up. Til next time!Tags:
